As outlined in the last step the 3 key events leading up to your home ownership are signing, funding, and recordation. Usually a day between each event is needed, placing the key dates as laid out below:
Recordation may not always fall on a Friday and buyers must be flexible with their schedule. As was covered in Step 28 hopefully we have completed your signing and your cash to close has already been delivered to escrow. If you did not have your check on closing your cash to close is typically due to escrow by the following business day.
Two days after your escrow signing comes Funding or Loan Funding. On this day your lender will “Fund” your loan by sending your loan funds to the escrow company. This is the last big step and all parties will be notified by the escrow company that all funds have been received and they are ready to record your transaction two days later.
Two days after the funding date comes Recording or Recordation.
Previous, Step 28: Escrow Signing Day
Next, Step 30: Recordation (Key Day)
