The wait is officially over. Kahuina has just launched its HHFDC subsidized homes, offering qualified Hawaiʻi residents a rare opportunity to own in the heart of Kakaʻako—first come, first served.
Kahuina is a thoughtfully planned mixed-income community featuring a total of 860 new homes, including 396 affordable HHFDC residences and the remaining homes offered as market-rate residences.
Developed by Stanford Carr Development as part of Kamehameha Schools’ Our Kakaʻako master plan, Kahuina will feature two modern residential towers—Lamaku and Mamalu—offering a range of homes including studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, plus 12 innovative live/work lofts designed to support flexible urban lifestyles.
Kahuina has also released 27 homes under the Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund Equity Pilot (DEP) program, designed for professions facing labor shortages.
450 Cooke Street
Ideally located behind Kaliʻu, Kahuina will span Auahi, Coral, Cooke, and Pohukaina Streets, placing it steps from SALT at Our Kaka‘ako, Down to Earth, H-Mart, and a vibrant mix of eateries, shops, and boutiques.

If you haven’t visited the Kahuina showroom, now is the perfect time. I’m happy to answer questions, help determine eligibility, or coordinate a showroom appointment.
